And yet another...
"Brush With Greatness"
I've had many brushes with greatness...among the most memorable was my fledgling friendship with the irrepressible Joan Rivers.

January, 1990 at CBS studios in New York City...I'd just appeared on her acclaimed daytime talk show for the second time. So after the taping, she wants to know "Can we tawk?" She's thinking of starting her own business selling Chia Pets that look like celebs...her, Geraldo, Dolly Parton (that would sure be a lot of foliage, huh?) and I said, "Joanie, bubbeleh...make something practical that people don't have to feed and water." Do something that won't die in a week...make jewelry! Need I say more? |
